Training and Events

In order to increase our community's capacity to provide critical services to youth in our county, we schedule trainings that respond to the expressed needs of partners for information and skills. This training helps us develop programs that fall within our mission, answers community needs and utilizes agency and community assets. Facilitated by Rebecca Muller, an independent consultant, who provides program design, proposal writing, start-up services and training for non-profits in New England region. She works with agencies and communities to design services that address a community's need, develops and maximizes its assets and promotes resource development in the context of collaboration.

Tour to the Worcester Teen Center
Monday, June 22nd from 2:00 - 5:00;

We can tour and hear about the center and its programs for an hour and then observe the 3-5:00 group. The 3-5 pm group, called Urban Community Action Planning for Teens, has 10 youth in the program and it’s a social justice curriculum that has youth thinking of ways in which they can impact their own communities by getting involved. The training leads to final projects of social change. Ms. Ramirez thought this would be great to observe because it has implemented elements of their Circles Training which is becoming their youth development model.
